Get workforce ready

Introducing Pharr Connect U – a tuition free, fiber optic training program preparing adult students ages 18-55 for high-demand careers in fiber broadband and digital infrastructure

Training will include classroom instruction, material and supplies and hands-on learning on industry-leading equipment. Students who complete the certification course will be placed in a 160-hour paid internship. Support services will also include job placement with local broadband employers.

About the Program

Pharr Connect U started as part of a greater effort by the City of Pharr to bridge the digital divide – close the gap created by lack of access to affordable, reliable internet service and technology skills.
